Tobias Nicholas Tropper (or Toby as he's usually called) was born on July 14th 1991 in sunny Ventura, California. He has been acting since a very young age, his first role being either Santa Claus in an elementary school play or Sir Francis Drake in a different elementary school play. More recent credits include Lyric Repertory Theatre, Sierra Repertory Theatre, Rubicon Theatre Company, PCPA, The Great American Melodrama and Vaudeville, Kingsmen Shakespeare Festival and San Luis Obispo Repertory Theatre, among others. When not on stage Toby enjoys drawing caricatures, playing ukulele and eating tomatoes.
He is a proud graduate of the Pacific Conservatory Theatre.
"He knows who he is, and he has mastered his bag of tricks, yet he doesn't stop there. He refuses to rely solely on his natural gifts...his timing is impeccable and his physicality is hysterical. He is wonderfully creative and a great collaborator. He is always incredibly prepared, yet he is very open to direction. He wants to be pushed to places he has never been. He is the type of actor playwrights will write for. Toby is a director's dream."
- Erik Stein, PCPA Casting Director
"Toby has an unusual and compelling combination of great talent, deep motivation, self-understanding, and generosity to the work and his partners. He is versatile, quick on his feet, and yet thoughtful in his approach."
- Michael Fields, CSSSA Theatre Department Chair
